Business Support Administrator

We are looking for a full time Business Support Administrator based in our Lancing office. Working 37.5 hours per week Monday- Friday.

Duties of the job will include the following;

  • Order processing, invoicing, queries, and general administration duties including but not limited to inputting, filing and archiving.
  • Helping with the Company’s credit control, including contacting customers and managing the team to keep outstanding balances at a minimum level. In addition to providing monthly updates on action taken regarding outstanding balances to the Customer Services Manager
  • Managing Invoices, dispatch and samples
  • Have a detailed knowledge of the Company’s products, customers, procedures and processes to enable problems to be dealt with as they arise, often dealing with issues under extreme time pressure.
  • Liaising with sales team to keep them informed of any changes to customer accounts and to ensure that customer issues/queries are dealt with in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure that all departmental processes are adhered to, including maintenance of relevant forms and procedures and generation of new procedures as and when required.

QA Technologist

We are looking for a full time QA Technologist based at our Lancing office. Working 37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday and reporting to the Head of QA;

Duties of the job will include the following;

Management of the testing on customer multiple accounts and attending customer meetings.
Requesting, checking and filing test reports from manufacturers.
Day to day maintenance of the technical files and updating the testing tracker.
Administration of the critical path on own accounts.
Requesting and logging gold seals.
Risk assessing safety of product to retailer’s requirements.
Liaising with nominated test house to arrange required test in line with EU and US legislation and customer requirements.
Producing ideas for cost price reduction.
Advising on correct warnings and symbols for product packaging, instruction manuals and rating labels. Ensure customer / supplier complaints and enquiries are effectively handled. Work proactively with the suppliers and product development departments to reduce returns rates.
Advanced process writing.
Build effective inter-departmental and customer relationships.
Management of large customer account audit program.
Work to and comply with the Company’s Health & Safety Policy at all times.
Observe Company disciplinary rules, Hygiene and Security procedures
Assist with the training of QA admin Assistants,
Training through webinars/research, and attending courses at the test house. Presenting learnings to QA Team.
Deputising for the Head of QA in their absence.

Salary from 25K dependent on experience and qualifications.

Junior New Product Developer 

We have a fantastic opportunity to join us at Fizz Creations as a Junior New Product Developer based in Lancing. Working 37.5 hours per week Monday-Friday.

Fizz Creations have been providing fun, innovative, and quality products to the world of gifts for over 10 years. We constantly push the boundaries with new designs and concepts both in the UK and worldwide. We supply some of the biggest names in retail such as Tesco, ASDA, Primark, B&M and partner with really exciting brands such as SLUSH PUPPiE, The Snowman, Tetris, Sonic, Minions, Trolls… and many more!

A Junior Product Developer will take on more products to develop and begin to own ranges from the very beginning. They will also acquire more customer accounts and continue to grow their skills. They will still need to maintain some of the roles an assistant does and help train any new assistants within the role.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the development from start to finish of a small range of products.
  • Working on smaller account within the business and ensure deliveries are met on all new product development.
  • Help with the development on lines within main range and customer focussed.
  • Conduct online research, comp shops and trend analysis.
  • Maintain a good relationship with the Assistant to ensure their development within their role continues and they are trained on all aspects of the job.
  • Assisting Senior and Product developers on large project contributing towards the product strategy.
  • Idea generation based on research and emerging trends.
  • Conducting and organising comp shops creating reports to feedback to the business as well as continuous online research.
  • Work with the sales team on customised products and packaging requirements to fit customer briefs.
  • Working with the quality assurance team to deliver product which complies with all safety standards.
  • Presenting to the business when required for sign off and company updates.
  • Working with the suppliers so we deliver the right product at the right price while ensuring we are hitting the brief and negotiating on pricing where needed.
  • Building relationships with licensors and understand licences inside out.
  • Work to and comply with the Company’s Health & Safety Policy always.
  • Observe Company disciplinary rules, Hygiene and Security procedures.

Skills

  • A passion for product design
  • A good knowledge of the product design process
  • Maintaining and working to a company critical path
  • Excellent eye for detail
  • Good knowledge of Excel, Word, and email
  • Highly organised and be able to adapt to changing work deadlines.
  • To be able to work both alone and as part of a creative team.
  • Have good communication skills, both in an office environment and with customers and far east suppliers.
  • The ability to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines.
  • To manage and maintain several responsibilities and projects at one time.

Qualifications and Experience
Batchelor’s Degree in product design
Ideally some work experience in a product design environment.

Salary starting from £20k subject to experience
