ABOUT TETRIS®
Tetris® is the captivating puzzle game that launched a global phenomenon, tapping into our shared instinct to bring structure to a disorder.
The Tetris game was invented by Alexey Pajitnov in 1984—a result of Alexey’s background in computer programming and his passion for puzzles. In the years that followed, Tetris evolved into one of the most iconic and best-known video games, featured on almost every gaming system around the world.

THE OBJECTIVE
The goal of Tetris is to score as many points as possible by clearing horizontal lines of Blocks. The player must rotate, move, and drop the falling Tetriminos inside the Matrix (playing field). Lines are cleared when they are filled with Blocks and have no empty spaces.
As lines are cleared, the level increases and Tetriminos fall faster, making the game progressively more challenging. If the Blocks land above the top of the playing field, the game is over!

GAMEPLAY INFO
GOAL – Put your organizational skills and endurance to the test by clearing as many lines as possible.

GHOST PIECE – Use the Ghost Piece to determine the best fit for the falling Tetrimino. This helpful guide appears directly below the falling Tetrimino and displays possible placements.

WHAT IS TETRIS® DUEL?
Tetris® Duel is our competitively fast-paced 1-vs-1 game where rather than scoring points, it is a game of survival. The aim is to clear lines fast enough so that your opponent Tops Out before you!
GARBAGE BLOCKS
When you complete an advanced clear you fill up your opponent’s Receiving Queue (the bar next to the Matrix/playing area). After clearing the lines, these Garbage blocks will be sent into your opponent’s Matrix. There is always one block missing in a Garbage Block line, which you can fill to clear the row. If both players make advanced clears at the same time the Receiving Queue cancels out.
